NO2 Response of Solid Electrolyte Sensors Made Using ZnFe2O4 Electrode

  ZnFe2O4 powders are synthesized by solid phase method and used to make sensing electrode.Electrochemical cells are prepared with an oxygen ionic conductor (Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2∶YSZ) with a semiconducting oxide (ZnFe2O4) electrode.Pt is used as the counter electrode.The devices show promising NO2 sensing performance at 450,550 and 650℃.The electromotive force (EMF) value of the ZnFe2O4/YSZ/Pt sensor increases with the increasing of concentrations of NO2 in N2.
