The studies of two phase concrete model on meso-level and its applications
During the engineering designing and analysis,concrete was regarded as isotropic and homogeneous material,and the mechanical behaviors under impact loads were described by constitute model on macro-level.The macro-model was widely used to solve many problems,but couldnt reveal the deformation and failure mechanism.On meso-level,the concrete was composed with aggregate,mortar,ITZ (interfacial transition zone) and other meso-structures.To study the affection of meso-structures on the macro-mechanical-behaviors of concrete,a numerical concrete was generated by FEM (Finite Element method).The general model was three phases material with aggregate,mortar and ITZ.But the model presented in the paper was two phases model only with aggregate and mortar.The ITZ was replaced by impact-contact-methods in order to reduce its complexity.The model was verified and validated by the simulation of uniaxial compressing test,and was used to analyze the influence of the concrete heterogeneity on the penetration responses.
