Determination of Marble Elastoplastic Parameters based on Mohr-Coulomb Criterion and its Significance
Rock mechanical test is an important approach to obtaining parameters of physical and mechanical properties of rock material, and elastoplastic theory can be used to investigate plastic deformation of rock material and its effect over mechanic properties of rock material during rock deforming. This study preformed the triaxial experiment to calculate the cohesion and the friction angle which corresponds to initial, peak and residual strengths using Mohr-Coulomb criteria.Analyzing the change rule between cohesion and friction angle is a primary method to explore the elastoplastic mechanic properties of rock material.Based on the isotropic hardening or softening assumption, testing data yielded from the triaxial rock mechanical test on the marble samples collected from Fangshan,Beijing were calculated and analyzed. The results show a well-established relationship of cohesion and the friction angle which vary with strain of plastic mass. Therefore, this study suggests that plastic strain can be regarded as plastic internal variable to investigate elastoplastic constitutive relation of marble.Lunching the study of this kind has set an example for examining the constitution relation of other rock material, providing basic data for related engineering design and numerical modeling.
