Pellet behavior on rotating chute and forming burden profile
Burden distribution at blast furnace top,especial burden profile (surface) along the radial direction is one of the most important factors controlling chemical reactions,heat transfer,and mass transfer between gas and solid.This study investigated burden profiles formed by two different color pellets in experiment and simulation.The simulations were well agreed with experimental result.The study illustrated that validation of the DEM models is feasible using small-scale experimental systems,and that DEM holds promise to accurately model complex flow mechanisms in particulate systems.And appropriately reducing shear modulus of particle’s material is feasible method to increase calculating speed of DEM.
