Innovations to the Steelmaking Process in Sumitomo Metals

　　Sumitomo Metals has developed several innovative technologies in the steelmaking process.In this paper,zero fluorine dephosphorization process by using two BOF,SRP-Z,powder blowing by spiked lance in RH for desulfurization,RH-PB,Anti-clogging immersion nozzle,AI-Nozzle,Crystallized mould flux,Crymax powder,Surface structure controlled process for preventing surface cracking in caster,SSC,porosity control casting process,PCCS and EMS and EMBR multi-function mould,π-mould are shown.
