Thermodynamic and kinetic simulation of the manganese ore addition in the steelmaking converter

  Thermodynamic and kinetic model of the converter steelmaking process is based on the coupled reaction model,which was enhanced by manganese ore dissolution sub-model.The coupled reaction model allows to simulate the oxidation-reduction reactions in multicomponent thermodynamic systems,such as liquid metal and slag.Kinetic processes in metal and slag phases are defined by the technological parameters of the converter process.The amount of added manganese ore and the time of manganese ore addition were researched.The influence of manganese ore addition on the phosphorus removal was considered.
