Two-dimensional estimation of Okamoto-cavity microwave induced plasma for optimizing the measuring conditions for the emission spectrometric analysis
A spatially-resolved image of the emission spectra excited by a microwave induced plasma (MIP) with Okamoto-cavity was investigated by using a two-dimensional spectrograph equipped with a CCD detector,to obtain the optimal operating condition for the quantitative determination of minor elements in steel samples. The MIP with a nitrogen-oxygen gas mixture was able to be employed as an excitation source for the emission analysis with better detection ability.
