High Performance Refractory Products for Clean Steel Production

　　In the past years,the steelmaking process has improved and steelmakers are paying much more attention to optimizing steel/refractory solutions during the transportation and processing of liquid steel.New ladle lining concepts producing less contamination,reliable argon purging to float up non-metallic inclusions,slag-detecting systems,effective tundish lining and furniture,protecting the steel stream from reoxidation,and suitable nozzle designs for an optimized flow pattern in the continuous casting mould are just some of the developments that have been introduced in order to produce clean steel.In this paper a range of state of the art refractory solutions used to produce top quality steel are introduced,which in combination aim to achieve super clean steel production.
