Process,microstructure-properties and application of hot strip by semi-endless rolling
Compared with conventional short-slab rolling,semi-endless rolling technology for mass production of thin and ultra-thin strip has more prominent features,which can produce much thinner and wider strip,evidently improve thickness accuracy and profile quality,promote microstructures uniformity and properties stability,further enhance finished product rate and production efficiency.However,as a advanced and sophisticated thin strip production technology attached to thin slab casing and rolling process,semi-endless rolling process depends highly on strictly process control (continuous casting,slab soaking,hot continuous rolling,laminar cooling,cutting and coiling,etc),mechanical devices control and electrical control,especially the high integration of whole production line management and control systems,which results in high degree of difficulty on technology application.In the present paper a series of explorations and development of key technologies of semi-endless rolling including optimization of production management mode and long-slab soaking process,tension control and flying gauge control,roll gap lubrication process,strip thickness and profile control,etc.,were introduced based on the existing technology in Lianyaun CSP line.The industrial application and progress of semi-endless rolling were also presented.
