Effects of a low-frequency Time-varying Magnetic Field on the Formation of Calcium Carbonate Crystal
There is some dispute in the effects of magnetic treatment on anti-scaling since its being.A self-designed water treatment system with high-gradient magnetic field has been established to study the effects of a low-frequency time-varying magnetic field on the formation of calcium carbonate crystal,the calcium carbonate precipitation method was used.Based on the results of X_RD and SEM analysis,it is approved that low-frequency time-varying magnetic field could promote the formation of calcium nuclears in the early stage,than inhibit the growth of crystal later.It is also indicated that the composition of scale sample which had been treated by magnetic field is different from that in the raw water.Aragonite is the largest composition share,minimum composition is the calcite,which is easier for forming soft scale that is easily flushed by liquid,and achieves the better result of the scale removing and anti-scaling.
