Carbon-bearing pellet Selective reduction-oxidation Smelting Process--a metallurgical process for paragentic mineral

摘要：

　　Carbon-bearing pellet Selective reduction-oxidation Smelting Process(CSS Process) is based on the selective reduction-oxidation theory,carbon-bearing pellet theory and smelting reduction theory.The carbon-bearing pellets are composed of paragentic mineral and coal powder.By controlling the reduction process,metal oxides in the pellet are reduced and the rate of metallization can be adjusted.Metallized pellets are melted and separated in EAF.The hot metal is treated by selective oxidation with oxidizing gas of which the oxidizability can be changed,and the slag is treated by selective reduction with carbon.We can obtain the valuable metal step by step.Using the Laterite lean iron and nickel ore,the feasibility of this process is demonstrated by tentative experiment in the paper.
