Influence of Cold-Rolling Direction on the Texture Evolution of Nb-IF steel sheet

Sharp γ(111//ND) fiber texture is crucial for superior deep drawing characteristic of an interstitial free sheet steel(IF steel). The influence of cold rolled direction on the texture distribution and development of Nb-IF steel sheet through the thickness during cold rolling and annealing were investigatedusingorientation distribution functions(ODF) figure and EBSD analyses. The results indicate that the cold texture of different rolling direction, consisting of a stronger α fiber and weaker γ fiber, are similar to that obtained by traditional one.Under different cold rolling direction being used, the rolling direction exerts little effect on the center region and the quarter layer, but more influence on the surface layers, and the texture of surface layer is increased and the highest intensity fiber shift from 112〈110〉to118〈110〉.After annealing, the hereditary of initial cold rolling texture tends to be minor from the surface layer to the center layer in 90 degree cold rolling sheet, andthe final textures in different samples are resemble, even become more uniform,so that rolling cold reduction can be a potential way for improve the forming prosperities of Nb -IF steel sheet.
