Effect of process parameters on Microstructure Evolution and properties of hot-rolled dual phase steel Containing Nb and Ti
The effect of process parameters such as deformation temperature, cooling rate, holding temperature, and holding time on Microstructure Evolution and properties of dual phase steel containing Nb-Ti was researched by using MMS-300 thermo-mechanical simulator. The results show that the ferrite content rises and the martensite morphology evolutes from block to island with deformation temperature reduced; as the cooling rate before holding rises, the volume fraction of ferrite and hardness increases; while the holding temperature gradually drops to 580oC from 740℃ for 10s,the amount of ferrite transformation firstly increases and then decreases, and is largest at 660 ℃(about 94%),but the bainite appears at 620oC; the relationship curve of the amount of ferrite transformation and the holding time presents “S model when the holding temperature is 700oC and 660℃,and the ferrite transformation velocity at 660℃ is higher than 700℃.This research lays a foundation for making technology of hot-rolled Nb-Ti dual phase steel.
