Behavior of Phosphorous and Its Distribution Ratio in Combined Oxygen Converter

  It is a major headache for steelmakers to remove phosphorous in combined oxygen converter when facing the case of phosphorous content of hot metal fluctuating sharply.Mass practical production data under the conditions of phosphorous (0.07-0.25%),manganese (0.22-0.8%) and silicon content (0.2-0.8%) of hot metal had been analysed to clearly know the behavior of phosphorous and minimize phosphorous content in molten steel as far as possible in order to produce high grade steels.Meanwhile,the phosphorous distribution ratio between slag and molten steel was theoretically calculated and tested based on previous models of some researchers.Furthermore,factors to influence the terminal phosphorous content in molten steel were identified.And after the above analysis,a reasonable phosphorous prediction model was put forward for better process control.
