Recent Progress in Ultrafine and Nanoscale Cemented Carbides
The existing methods for preparing the ultrafine and nanoscale cemented carbides powders were briefly reviewed,and the neck problems for some techniques to be industrialized were analyzed.Based on the research and development of the ultrafine and nanoscale cemented carbides at the Beijing University of Technology,the newly developed technique of in-situ synthesis of ultrafine and nanoscale WC-Co composite powders,as well as their applications in ultrafine/nanostruetured coatings and ultrafine and nanocrystalline bulk materials were introduced.The potential and prospects of applying the developed short-term and low-cost route in domestic industries to produce the ultrafine and nanoscale cemented carbides were discussed.
