Study on the Cemented Carbide Surface Quality in the WEDM
Due to high-hardness properties of cemented carbide,it can not be cut by ordinary processing method and the EDM is widely adopted.WEDM is the most important one of the EDM.Surface quality of work-piece is the important parameter for the evaluation of the WEDM.The factors that mainly affect the surface quality are the wire system,processing parameters and mechanical precision.The influence of the wire system mainly depends on the smooth running of the wire system to be solved.Ensure that the transmissible parts of the wire system are high precise and flexible,and that the control system is sensitive,accurate and reliable.The machining parameters mainly depend on the processing requirements to be reasonably chosen.The choice principle is to achieve the maximum economic benefits under the conditions to meet the processing requirements.The mechanical reversed gap is the key of the mechanical precision and is also the focus of this paper,tn addition to the replacement of the worn parts and adopting a closed-loop control system,we should adopt the reasonable processing path to avoid the effect of the mechanical reversed gap.Through the reasonable selection of machining parameters and processing methods,the performances of slow-wire cutting machine are brought full into play to meet the high-quality processing requirements.
