Amino Acid Composition Analysis of Humic Acids Isolated by Sequential Alkaline Extraction from Soil
It is well known that humic acids have quite similar amino acid composition. This research is about the changing amino acid composition of humic acids isolated by sequential alkaline extraction from soil.Six humic acid samples were derived from podzolic soil. The samples were hydrolyzed in 6 M HCI over 16 hours.Aminoacid analysis was carried out using capillary electrophoresis. The average total value of amino acids was determined to be 5.5%.This value increased from 5.3% of the first sample to 6.3% of the fifth, and then dropped to 5% in the sixth.
