Ultra-High Temperature Laminated Ceramic Composites
Ultra-high temperature laminated ceramics were prepared through aqueous tape casting and hot pressing.The oxidation behavior for ZrB2-SiC and HfB2-SiC laminated ceramics at 1500 ℃ were evaluated by weight gain measurements and cross-sectional microstructure analysis.During the oxidation process of laminated ceramics,first the low melting phase is volatilized;then the oxidation layer is formed,it can protect from further oxidation.The oxidation mechanism was discussed.The results indicate that the oxidation resistance of HfB2-SiC laminated ceramics were better than that of ZrB2-SiC laminated ceramics.
