Location of Time-harmonic Magnetic Dipole

  This paper introduces a novel GA-based algorithm for location of moving time-harmonic magnetic dipole.Based on the function of propagation of underwater electromagnetic wave,the new location method with the amplitude of the electromagnetic wave picked out from receiving signals is proposed.According to the overall search ability of the genetic algorithm,the passive location of the radiant point about the time-harmonic dipole was achieved by the using of characteristic quantity of the amplitude.The result of the simulation validated that: within the underwater measurement distance,higher precision of passive location can be achieved by using the method based on genetic algorithm.
