Simulation Analysis on the Band-Tube Evaporator Characteristics
In this paper,the simulation models of the band-tube evaporator are established on the basis of the theory of two-phase flow and boiling heat transfer.The evaporator variable flow steady characteristics are simulated under the different wind speed,ambient temperature and refrigerant flow.And the influence of the running parameter in heat transfer and flow performance is also analyzed.The results shows that both the heat transfer and the pressure drop increase with the increase of the mass flow,but the increasing of the pressure drop is not very clear when the mass flow is less than 0.1 kg/s; however,it will significantly increase when the mass flow gets to 0.1 kg/s because of the obvious increase of the frictional pressure drop.In the meantime with the increase of the refrigerant mass flow,the location of the cutoff point between the evaporator two-phase region and superheat region gradually shift to the exit,and the superheat degree gradually decreases.The influence of the heat transfer coefficient to the heat transfer will gradually decrease when the heat transfer coefficient gets to a certain value,which makes the increasing trend of the evaporator heat transfer slowly with the increase of wind speed.Totally,these results of the simulation help the matching research between an evaporator and an electronic expansion valve.
