EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON AIRSIDE PERFORMANCE OF SLOTTED FIN-TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER
This paper aims to study the airside performance of slotted fin-tube heat exchanger under dehumidifying conditions.The heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of slotted fin-tube heat exchanger are experimentally studied with different structure parameters of heat exchanger,different inlet air conditions and different arrangement patterns of heat exchanger.The Colburn factor j and the Fanning friction factor f were applied to describe airside heat transfer and friction characteristics,respectively.The experiment results show that the structure parameters,such as fin pitch,fin thickness and row numbers,have significant impacts on airside performance of heat exchanger.As to the inlet air condition,its found that Colburn factor j decline with the rise of inlet air relative humidity,while Fanning friction factor f increase with the rise of inlet air relative humidity.The arrangement pattern of heat exchanger also has significant impact on heat transfer characteristic.The heat transfer characteristic with inclination arrangement is worse than the heat transfer characteristic with vertical arrangement.The friction characteristic for positive inclination angle gets improved,while the friction characteristic for negative inclination angle becomes worse.
