CFD SIMULATION FOR FLUID FLOW INSIDE BRAZED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS
The paper briefly introduced CFD application in new concept verification of Danfoss brazed heat exchanger development.Compared with experiments,the critical parameters can be more easily identified and regulated in simulation.The results can be presented in a visual way conveniently to show the overall and local flow field (velocity,temperature and pressure etc.) in detail.CFD simulations for flow within single cell,single phase flow and two-phase flow in a fluid channel are performed.Impacts of different distributor azimuths on two-phase distribution in fluid channel are investigated via simulation.The results demonstrated good qualitative and quantitative agreement with experimental data.
