STUDY OF SELF-EXCITED FLUTTER AND FORCED RESPONSE OF TURBOMACHINERY ROTOR BLADE

A new system approach analysis will be developed to predict blade flutter and forced response. This analysis will provide a system approach, over and above the standard blade approach, for predicting potential aeroelastic problems. The blade flow field properties are set as aero input, combined with finite element model,in order to calculate blade surface unsteady aero damping. The forcing function generators including inlet distortion pressure and velocity are then provided in order to calculate turbomachinery blading forced response. This presented method can provide turbine engine manufacturer,co-generation,gas turbine generator, microturbine generator, engine manufacturer, etc.with important analyses system to remedy existing flutter and forced response methods. In the future, this method can also be widely used in fans, compressors, and turbines power plant field for energy, electricity, and cost saving analysis.
