Network Performance of A PLC Protocol for Smart Grid

摘要：

　　Implementing smart grid demands a wide area communication network for connecting all the feeder equipments,consumers meters and high-consuming appliances,etc,for both utilitiesand consumers applications.Using power line itself as a communication medium is an ideal solution for construction of a cost-effective and high speed transmission network.A new flooding-based routing protocol has been developed.The PLC (Power Line Communication) network performances of this protocol are evaluated using theoretical analysis.
