Photocatalytic Degradation of Acid Orange Ⅱ on Solid Polyoxometalate Salt
Solid polyoxometalate salt (K3PW12O40,denote as KPW) is prepared by simple precipitation of phosphotungstic acid and potassium ion, followed by calcination.Using the as-prepared KPW as photocatalyst, the azo dye-acid orange Ⅱ (Org Ⅱ) can be efficiently degraded under ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation. The reaction conditions (pH and dye concentration) were preliminary investigated.Besides, the influence of coexisting substances such as H2O2,Cl-,F-,Cr6+,Ag+ on the photocatalytic degradation kinetics were studied in depth.Org Ⅱ can be facilely bleached and mineralized when KPW is 1.0 g/L and pH is 2.5.Coexisting of Ag+ can promote the degradation process.Whereas,H2O2,Cr6+,Fe3+,F and Cl-have negative effects.
