Geochemistry of the Heishan Ni-Cu-(PGE) sulfide deposit in Gansu,NW China
The Heishan Ni-Cu-(PGE) deposit is a large-size deposit with an average grades of 0.6 wt.% Ni and 0.3 wt.% Cu.Lentoid Ni-Cu sulfide ore bodies occur within the ultramific rock at the base and lower parts of the intrusion. The Heishan intrusion formed in a magma plumbing system and is a part of the magma plumbing system.Characteristics of the disseminated ores segregate that the sulfides were segregated from a PGE-depleted magma. Moreover, the disseminated sulfides in No.4 ore body likely experienced weakly monosulfide solid solution (MSS) fractionation. In contrast, the disseminated sulfides in No.1 ore body did not experience the fractionation of MSS.
