A Novel Nanoyarn Scaffold for Tissue Engineering Applications
Collagen/Poly(L-lactide-co-caprolactone) P(LLA-CL) nanoyarn scaffolds were successfully fabricated by dynamic liquid electrospinning.Thescanning electron microscopy (SEM) and tensile strength test were used to characterize the scaffold in terms of scaffold morphology and mechanical property.Mouse fibroblast cells (L929)were cultured to determine the biocompatibility of the nanoyarn scaffold. The results showed that the nanoyarn scaffold has a more porous structure that is attributed to facilitate cell adhesion and organize cell growth on the scaffold. Therefore, this study demonstrated that the novel approach fabricating the nanoyarn scaffold had potential applications for tissue regeneration.
