Childrens Development on Parenting Styles and Children Engaged in Science and Technology Contests

  Under the condition in participating science and technology contests (STCs) which require children to produce devices in the morning and compete speed and tag of war in the afternoon,so that their parents are prevented from on-site interference,in other word,if parent want to inference,they only can do before contest.In line with this,it is different from other prepared project to join contest,then the parent interference will be different in affecting childrens character development,knowledge enrichment and thinking capability enlargement.As such,employed the participatory method,this study got 256 validated returns and results:In the aspect of parental monitoring,fathers were mostly of responsive type,whereas mothers inclined to be of autonomy-support type.Parental interference would create mediating effects to the children taking part in STCs,and make parents of demanding and responsive types contribute assistance in their childrens character development,thinking capability enlargement,and knowledge enrichment.Parental interference would have positively affected to childrens thinking capability enlargement and knowledge enrichment,even character development.
