CONTINUOUS PELLET COATING IN A WURSTER FLUIDIZED BED PROCESS
In this study a continuously working lab-scale process for single-stage pellet coating was designed.It allows controlled discharge of products with predefined layer thickness.Continuous granulation experiments were conducted and the accuracy of the separating effect of the discharging tube was examined.In order to describe the process,a population balances model was developed.Apart from experimental results,the contribution presents an approach to model the coating process based on population balances.
