APPLICATION OF THE GAUSSIAN SPECTRAL TECHNIQUE TO MONITOR THE DRYING PROCESS OF SOLIDS IN A FLUIDIZED BED

  Drying of microcrystalline cellulose and adipic acid was investigated by using Gaussian spectral technique,to monitor the fluid-dynamic regime transitions related to the loss of the superficial moisture content.Pressure fluctuation signal were collected in a cylindrical fluidized bed.One could observe that the Gaussian spectral technique was useful to monitor the hydrodynamic alterations,when the critical moisture content was evaluated.This technique proved to be an interesting tool to track drying processes,when fluid-dynamic changes are presented.
