DRYING CHARACTERISTICS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS IMMERSED IN FLUIDIZED BED OF INERT PARTICLES UNDER REDUCED PRESSURE

  Drying characteristics of agricultural products immersed in a fluidized bed under reduced pressure were examined.As a drying material,a disklike of carrot was mainly used.As inert particles,glass beads were mainly used.To increase the drying rate,an organic solvent having low boiling point was injected into the drying material,and the effect on the drying characteristics was examined.Under the reduced pressure,the drying time becomes shorter than that in the atmospheric pressure.For the injection of organic solvent,the drying time becomes shorter than that for non-injection.
