PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SIGILLATE WALNUT (JUGLANS SIGILLATA DODE)

摘要：

　　Sigillate walnut is a native Juglans species cultivated locally in China.The physical properties of walnut are important in the design of processing equipment.Some physical properties of sigillate walnut and its kernel were investigated.The results showed that most of the studied physical properties of walnut and its kernel were significantly affected by changing moisture content in the studied range except sphericity.The length,width,thickness,geometric mean diameter,surface area,unit mass,volume,bulk density and particle density decreased linearly with decreasing moisture content,while the values of sphericity almost remained constant.
