MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF NATURALLY PACKING CUT TOBACCO IN DRYING PROCESS
Based on the method of Transient Plane Source (TPS),the online testing equipment for measuring the thermal conductivity of cut tobacco was set up in the laboratory drum dryer.The effects of temperature,moisture content of cut tobacco for thermal conductivity were investigated.The results showed that: the correlation coefficient (r) of calculated values and experimental data was higher than 0.8,the relative errors were less than 10% with temperature,moisture content and void fraction of cut tobacco below 85℃,in range of 10% and 17.5%,87% and 93% respectively.The predictive data of thermal conductivity were in good agreement with experimental data obtained by online testing equipment.
