Cloning and Evolution Analysis of Anthocyanidin Synthase Gene from Lilium Oriental ‘Sorbonne

As one of the key rate-limiting enzymes in anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway,Anthocyanidin synthase (ANS) can catalyze the leucocyanidin to colored anthocyanin.Using Lilium oriental ‘Sorbonne as the material,an Anthocyanidin synthase (ANS) gene conservative district sequence was cloned from flesh petals of Lilium oriental ‘Sorbonne by the method of RT-PCR and rapid amplification of cDNA ends; sequence analysis and homology comparison of the cDNA were performed by using DNAman sottware and BLASTN program. The results showed that the length of ANS gene core fragment is 804bp (Gerd3ank accession No.JX427406) and can encode 264 amino acids. And from Phylogenetic tree analysis, the cloned LiANS core fragment was genetically closer with the monocots of Tulipa and Iris. The sequence comparison and bioinformatics analysis of ANS gene in this study were conducted to explore the reason and molecular mechanism of Lily flower color formation.
