The Convection Heat Transfer of Tomato Leaves at Canopy Top
To study the heat flow between tomato leaves and air and evaluate the formation of leaf temperature,the paper measured the temperature differences between tomato leaf surface and air at different wind speeds under controlled environment temperature and light intensity.The convection coefficient between tomato leaf and air was calculated according to the energy balance law.The latent heat due to tomato water loss was analyzed by measuring the weight loss of the tomato leaf at intervals during the measurement periods.Is found that the convection coefficient increased linearly with increasing wind speed,which was in agreement with previous findings and provided a definite parameter for convection heat analyses.This study provided relatively a definite heat physical parameter for the later study of convection heat transfer.
