Evaluation of the Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa L.) Germplasm for Cold Tolerance under Field and Closed Environmental Conditions

　　Lettuce (Lattuca sative L.) is an annual and biennial herb.The growth inhibition emerges under low temperature in winter.To evaluate the cold tolerance of lettuce germplasm,55 different lettuce cultivars were screened with the two methods of under field and closed environmental conditions.On the basis of the observations,it can be concluded that the cold tolerance of the lettuce genotypes S4,S24,J9,J19,J20,W1,W3,W4,W7,and W8 were better than the others.
