cDNA Cloning and Sequence Analysis of a Heat Shock Protein Gene,LsHsp90, from Leaf Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)
In this study,a heat shock protein gene was isolated from the leaf lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) by using Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Rapid-amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) approaches, and the gene was named LsHsp90.The full length cDNA of LsHsp90 is 2330 bp,with an Open reading frames (ORF) of 2097bp,encoding 698 putative amino acid residues with a predicted molecular mass of 79.8 kD.Homology analysis showed that the deduced HSP90 protein was highly homologous to other HSP90 proteins from different species.Phylogenetic analysis among 13 species indicated that LsHSP90 was clustered with the HSP90 from Ageratina adenophora.
