Genetic Analysis on Hypocotyl Length Traits of Cucumber Seedlings under Salt Stress

  The research discussed the genetic characteristics of hypocotyl length in cucumber seedlings under salt stress.The six generations (P1,P2,F1,B1,B2 and F2) from the cross between salt-tolerable inbred line M8 (P1) and the salt-sensitive inbred line M7 (P2) were treated withl50mmol NaCl solution in cucumber seedlings stage,and the host gene-multi gene blending inheritance model method was applied to analyze the genetic hypocotyl length.The hypocotyl length was controlled by Additive-dominant-epistatic gene (C-0),and the polygenic heritability in segregating generations (B1,B2,F2) was 47.9002%,31.4338% and 56.8436% respectively,and environmental variance accounted for a larger proportion of the phenotypic variance,which was more than 40%.Its found that the hypocotyl length of cucumber was mainly controlled by polygene,influenced by the environment easily and not suitable for the selection in early generation.
