Study on Microstructure Observation of Petunia Hybrida Vilm
The study aims to find out the pollen abortion stage of Petunia male sterile line for its cellular mechanism research so as to supply the male sterile line breeding with a theoretical base.Method of paraffin section was used to observe and record the anther structure of double line.Analysis and comparison were made between sterile line and maintainer line at the corresponding stage of pollen development and abortion,thus to make sure the very aborting time.An obvious difference between sterile and maintainer line was noticed in microsporocyte stage,while the abortion started from the stage of meiosis anaphase and tetrad.
