Regeneration of Leaf Culture in vitro in Lavandula angustifolia

  The leaves derived from tube plantlets of Lavandula angustifolia cv.‘Hidcote were applied as explants to culture on MS media supplemented with different concentrations of 0.1,0.5,1.0 mg·L-1KT and 0.5,1.0,2.0 mg·L-1 6-BA,0.1,0.5,1.0,2.0 mg·L-1 NAA and 0.1,0.5 mg·L-1 IBA to obtain the optimal media of callus induction,differentiation and proliferation.The results indicated that the optimal media of callus induction were MS + NAA 1.0 mg·L-1+ 6-BA 1.0 mg·L-1 and MS + NAA 0.5 mg·L-1 + KT 0.5 mg·L-1 with the induction rates of 96.2% and 93.5% respectively.The best medium for adventitious bud differentiation was MS + NAA 0.5 mg·L-1 + 2,4-D 6.0 mg·L-1 with the differentiation rate of 31.8%.The most suitable medium for plantlet multiplication was MS + NAA 0.5 mg·L-1 + 2,4-D 6.0 mg·L-1 with the shoot proliferation coefficient of 5.6 and plantlets grew strongly on it.
