MECHANICAL PROPERTY ANALYSIS OF FOUR TYPES OF CONCRETE PILES

  Based on the same usage of reinforcement and concrete,mechanical properties of pretensioned prestressed high-strength concrete pile (PHC pile),concrete pipe pile with hot-rolled longitudinal reinforcement (ordinary pipe pile),precast reinforced concrete square pile (precast square pile) as well as partially prestressed reinforced concrete square pile (PRS pile) are calculated and analysed.The results show that these four types of concrete piles can be used as pressure-bearing piles because of their high compressive capacity.The flexural,shear and tensile capacities of PHC pile are the highest among these four types of concrete piles,the PRS pile takes second place,the PHC pile is the lowest.With the same area of longitudinal bar,tensile capacity and flexural capacity of PRS pile are 1.9 times and 1.7 times of that of precast square pile,respectively.
