COMPLEX MOVEMENT AND RESTORATION OF A HERITAGE MASONRY-TIMBER BUILDING

  Ye House is a heritage masonary-timber building built at the end of Qing dynasty in Wenzhou City which has precious cultural relic value.The city planned to built a new road at the place where Ye House was built.So Ye House needs to be moved to a new place for better protected.In this paper,the precious cultural relic value was discussed firstly.The difficulties of this project was pointed,and the combining trace moving technology and restore measures for Ye House project were introduced in detail,which include restoration program,underpinning,reinforcement of house,moving construction and linking with new foundation.The analysis method about the timber building was also provided.Ye House Protective Moving Project is a model of combining restoring relic as origin tenet with building monolithic moving technique and modernizing rehabilitation for Chinese national building.
