LOAD TESTS AND BEARING CAPACITY EVALUTION OF SPATIAL TORSIONAL TIED-ARCH BRIDGE
Spatial torsional tied-arch bridge is a brand-new structural style of bridge. The main arch reverses outward an angle after introverting which leads the complicated stress. In order to get mechanical properties of spatial torsional tied-arch bridge and evaluate its bearing capacity, spatial finite element analysis and load tests are carded out on YangHu Bridge in Maanshan.Because of the surplus beating capacity from results of construction supervision control, the static load test is divided into six conditions by several sections reaching their worst case designs in one condition on the premise of ensuring the security, and the effciency ratio which is between 0.85 and 0.97 completely satisfies the requirement. The results of static load test show that both stress and deformation measured values of arch ribs and girders are below the theoretical values, the verification coefficients are about 0.8.The above explains that It has enough strength and stiffness, and the performance of elasticity is favorable. The measurement cable force of hangers are less than theory values, the verification coefficients are about 0.75.The above data illustrate that the force transmitting performance of hangers is satisfactory, and bearing capacity is within a safe range. The dynamic load test includes running test and pulse test. The dynamic deformation time-travel curves and acceleration response are obtained by disposing test equipments in specified positions. The results of dynamic load test show that average Magnificaiton coefficients of structure is 1.13,damping ratio is between 1.29%and 3.37%,both are in the normal range, that indicate the dynamic performance is perfect.
