CONTRAST TEST INVESTIGATION OF DIFFERENT MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE STRUCTURES UNDER THE SIMULATED FRAGMENTS IMPACT OF 150MM RED BOMB
Based on the analysis of execution of the exploding fragments of 150mm red bomb,penetration resistance test of three kinds of multi-layer composite protective panels were carried out by 14.5mm shotgun system.The multi-layer composite panels include ceramic/fiber reinforced polymer (FRP),double ceramic layers/FRP and ceramic/steel/FRP which had similar planar density.The test results showed that ceramic/steel/FRP structure had the best protective performance for high energy fragments which energy absorbing in unit planar density reach to 99.6 J/(kg/m2).
