MINIATURIZED STRUCTURE LOADED WITH LUMPED CAPACITORS FOR CURRENT MODIFICATION ON DIPOLE ANTENNAS
A miniaturized structure for current modification on dipole antennas is presented.The structure consists of a metallic sheet with a pair of symmetrical L-shaped slots embedded.Lumped capacitors are loaded to miniaturize the entire size.The operation of the entire structure is similar to a series of parallel LC resonators which can modify the current on the long unbalanced asymmetrical dipole antennas.The radiation pattern and resonant frequency are considered.The results are presented and discussed.It is shown that the long unbalance asymmetrical dipole can emulate a smaller symmetrical resonant element with the current modification structure.
