Characteristic and Control Measure Analysis of Air Pollutants Generated from the Consteel Furnace
Consteel EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) is developed by the Italy TENOVA company,Currently the fourth generation of it has been developed.In this paper,based on features of the Consteel EAF production process,the characteristics of air pollutants generated during the smelting process are analyzed.Air pollution prevention and control measures are also proposed accordingly,which including that,dioxins from the first fume could be controlled by using clean steel scrap as the raw materials and reducing the use of oil combustible materials,the chlorine resource by injected alkaline materials in surface and avoiding re-synthesis in each point by strict control of fume temperature and sufficient oxidation combustion; discharge of nitrogen oxides could be controlled by low nitrogen combustion technology effectively; generation of sulfur dioxide could be controlled effectively due to adoption of scrap materials with low sulphur content and alkaline production environment; the secondary fume is collected by the circumfluence roof hood and treated with dust removal by efficient bags.
