Ecological Risk for Heavy Metals Pollution in Sediment of Xiangjiang River(Changning Section)
Heavy metals(Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd,Ni,Cr,Hg,As) were detected in the sample which were collected in six cross sections at Xiangjiang River of Changning. The potential ecological risk index were used to evaluate the contamination level of heavy metals in sediment. The results show that sediment of Changning section had polluted seriously and pollutant concentration at Songbai was the highest among all samples. The concentration of Cu,Pb,Zn,Cd reached 4.85~14.4 times higher than background values of Xiangjiang river. The orders of degree of potential ecological risk were Cd>Pb>Hg>As>Cu>Ni>Zn>Cr,which Cd,Pb,Hg,As had more potential ecological risk.
