Cultural Industry:The Important Dimension of Enhancing City Competitiveness

　　The cultural industry as a sunrise industry,is the most promising in the twenty-first century,and is the key factor to affect enhancement of city competitiveness.In future,the strength of the city competitiveness increasingly depends on the development of cultural industry.Since the reform and opening up,the city culture industry overall has made great achievements in China.But compared with developed countries,development of culture industry is limited and is in the immature stage of development in China.This greatly inhibits the enhancement of city competitiveness.In the era of knowledge economy,developing culture industry becomes the new path to enhance city competitiveness.
