Influences of Moulds Shape on Heat Transfer in Hot Forming Process
Ultra-precision mould is widely used as the most important material in hot forming manufacture industry in recent years.Hot forming process has been employed as a promising technique to manufacture small size components in mass production.In this paper,an effective method of improving the heating or the cooling effectiveness is to increase the area exposed to the cold or hot nitrogen by means of adding slots.In the same condition,four models with different slots were built.Based on the theoretical analysis of glass heating and cooling property in the forming process,finite element simulation was carried out.The results showed that the model with slots may decrease the heating and cooling time.
