Plateau Urban Wetland Ecological Features and Degenerated Wetland Restoration
Typical wetlands in the suburbs of the plateau city,Shangri-La were selected in light of closed and semi-closed wetland environment and its compound ecosystem features for the purpose of conducting ecological restoration at the scale of fiver basin. The results showed that wetland plants rapidly increased from 8 families,22 genera and 28 species at the initial phase of restoration to 18 families,22 genera and 28 species; the above-ground biomass rose from 318.56 g·m-2 to 507.68 g·m-2; there were significant changes in plant communities on the lakesides and riverbank belts before and after restoration, with the gradual decrease or appearance of pollutant-enduring species, but appearance of the marsh plants,Sparganium simplex and Batrachium bungei communities that have disappeared for many years; the contents of organic matters and total nitrogen in soil increased from 28.85 and 0.79 g·kg-1 before restoration to 50.26 and 1.45 g·kg-1 after restoration, respectively; there were significance decreases in the contents of TN,TP and COD in water body, with the removal rates reaching 76%,84% and 71%,respectively; the transparency of water body was enhanced by 179%.Therefore,the structure and functionalities of wetland ecosystem were improved and restored.
